Thank you for ending up here, whatever way you came, thank you for showing interest and listening to me ramble about this wonderful organisation.

I have been to Nansana, Uganda before (this is where Nurture Africa is based in Uganda) way back in 2016 as a newly finished Dublin City University 1st Year. I volunteered as a General Skills worker and helped lay the foundations for a computer library within the grounds of the Nurture Africa compound, I helped teach local schools English, I painted walls of some local schools, I partook in a PE class facilitated by another volunteer and I even taught some first aid workshops with my fellow volunteers. I have not stopped talking about my experiences while over in Nansana and now that I have graduated university and been working as a Software Engineer for some time, I feel like it is time to give back some of what I have learned.

On the very foundations I helped lay, I will be travelling to Nansana once again to teach students basic computer skills, and to pass on the love of computers that I have to some of the kids who are starting out on their journey to computer genies.

I want to be really transparent from the start and I will start off by addressing the money target. Approximately €250 will be directed towards my accommodation, food and transports and operational costs while in Uganda.
