I'm taking part in the Rome Half Marathon on the 20th of October this year in memory of my Grandad, Declan. 

The fundraiser will close on the 28th of October.

I've chosen to fundraise for Friends of The Midland Regional Hospital Tullamore. 

Grandad was a well known and well loved member of the maintenance staff of the hospital for over 40 years. Spending many a day painting new wards, blasting the latest tunes from the radio and driving around in his little red hse van.

Unfortunately, grandad was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in February this year. During his illness, the staff and friends of the hospital took tremendous care of grandad - something we as a family will be forever grateful for. 

All funds raised here will go directly to this great cause.
