We, the O’Flynn Family, are walking 5k on the 6th of October 2024, to raise funds for the Irish Kidney Association’s Munster Kidney Support Centre,  in memory of Dermot O’Flynn, a loving Husband, Dad, Grandad, Brother and Friend to many, who sadly passed away on the 12th of August 2024.

The Munster Kidney Support Centre is situated only 200 meters from the CUH campus where Dermot was under the excellent care of Mr. Clarkson and the CUH Kidney team. Many may not be aware of such an excellent support centre which offers a home from home, state of the art accommodation, free of charge to families with loved ones in hospital, run by the most compassionate and caring of staff.

This centre allowed us to spend precious time with Dad during his final days for which we will be forever grateful. With your help we want to raise as much as possible so they can continue to provide support to other families in similar circumstances.
