Inspired was founded in 2014 to address the needs of people with mild to low moderate intellectual disability. Inspired is a registered charity and recognised as a service provider and supported by HSE and Pobal.
Our Mission: To enable all participants to realise their full potential through lifelong learning, social inclusion, and employment opportunities, thereby becoming active citizens contributing to their wider community.
In 2022, 12 acres of land were made available to Inspired, to create a learning hub focused on Biodiversity and Social Enterprise. Participants now actively grow organic fruit and vegetables, a venture that has seen tremendous success with demand far exceeding supply. To meet this growing demand, plans are underway to add a second polytunnel in 2025, at a cost of €12,000.
Joe Moriarty and Ray Moynihan have kindly volunteered to raise funds for this project by participating in a 500km cycle in Portugal in October (5-12th). All funds raised go directly to Inspired and we encourage you to support Joe and Ray in whatever way you can.
