I've chosen to fundraise for Galway Hospice Foundation and Little Blue Heroes Foundation. All funds go directly to these causes.
I volunteer with the Little Blue Heroes Foundation in Galway City and County and as such have seen the amazing work they do within our community.
I am also fundraising for Galway Hospice Foundation as they provided invaluable care and assistance to my father's partner Eithne Gillooly while she fought a brave battle with cancer. Eithne sadly succumbed to her illness on the 2nd of February 2022 but she is lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Galway Hospice Foundation is a voluntary organisation. It was established in 1986 when a group of local doctors and nurses came together with a view to developing hospice services for the people of Galway city and county, as no such services existed there at the time.
