About the Cause
An Halla Mor, Dungloe
The Parochial Hall, Dungloe, or, the Big Hall, as it was more affectionately known, and now known as An Halla Mor, served the people of Dungloe and surrounding areas for the most part of the 20th century.
Built in 1913 (approx) it has served the people well as a parish and community venue for various social, cultural, recreational and historical events.
Recently, the hall has fallen into disrepair, in particular the heating system and floor and are in serious need of refurbishment/replacement.
The Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association (IMNDA) is the only organisation of its kind in the country providing specialised services to families affected by this terminal condition.
The Association cannot slow the progression of MND or change the outcome but we can alleviate the feelings of isolation and frustration. We offer consistent support to approximately 450 families across Ireland who otherwise would have nowhere else to turn. Everybody with MND has different needs at different stag
