This August, Amgen staff across Ireland are invited to lace up their walking shoes and take part in an inspiring challenge to support Make-A-Wish Ireland. Our 'Walk for Wishes' challenge is more than just a walk—it's a commitment to bringing hope, strength and happiness to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
How It Works
Throughout the month of August, Amgen employees are challenged to collectively walk, run, or jog 100km. For every kilometre logged by staff, Amgen will donate Make-A-Wish Ireland.
Our Shared Mission
Make-A-Wish Ireland is the official charity partner of the Amgen Irish Open, reflecting our shared commitment to making a positive impact in our community. There will be multiple fundraising activations on site at the 2024 Amgen Irish Open, which will take place at Royal County Down in September. By participating in the 'Walk for Wishes' challenge, you will be directly helping us to boost the funds raised by Make-A-Wish through the partnership!

Make-A-Wish Ireland has one simple aim: we grant the wishes of children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions. A wish granted is true magic for the child, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment.
