Upgrade to our Existing School Building

There are exciting times ahead for all at Balrothery NS. We are hoping that past pupils, community members, local businesses and our many friends might be interested in being a part of the history of our school. In the coming months, additional rooms will be constructed at Balrothery NS. In addition to this, we hope to raise funds which will enable us to improve our existing building. We would like the two buildings to merge into one , let 1949 become 2024!

This project will be of wonderful benefit to all our pupils for generations to come.

To achieve this, we are asking for peoples support in raising €50,000. The Parents' Committee have nearly raised €20,000 of that already with your support.

To generate funds, we are inviting people to “Buy a Brick”. Everyone can now literally be a part of our school and our history by purchasing a brick! A brick will be engraved with the persons or name of their family or business. These bricks will be displayed on a wall inside the extension for all to see. The cost of an engraved brick is €100. We realise that everyone will not be in a position to purchase a brick, please note that we will gratefully accept any donation.  A receipt via email will be issued to all supporters.

Over the years there have been many wonderful occasions and achievements in Balrothery NS. This project is the next milestone in the history of our school and our community. We look forward to inviting everyone to the opening of our new facilities, which will include the unveiling of the wall of sponsors.
