Damian Sheridan, Daryl D'art and a host of other motercycle enthusiasts are doing a 72 hour photo motorbike rally to raise funds for Jigsaw, which is proudly sponsored by Joe Duffy Motorrad. They will travel to all 16 jigsaw locations over 72 hours taking a picture at each premises.

Here is Damians reasons for this amazing motorbike fundraiser. 

'It’s just gone Two years now I’m back motorcycling. I’ve found myself part of an amazing community that goes above and beyond to help each other out. Every few weeks there is a different fundraising event for various causes and charity’s. I do my best to get involved in as many as I can.

Working for Jigsaw has been an amazing experience from day one. Seeing first-hand how the early intervention mental health service can have such a positive impact on young people’s life’s and how each and every staff member goes above and beyond to support the work that Jigsaw does.

During the pandemic I was assisting with the incoming post while staff were working from home, one letter has been etched into my mind that I received. A young boy 12 wrote a letter, In the letter he thanked Jigsaw for making his sister happy again which he said made all his family happy. He said, his family had so much to look forward to now. He explained in the letter that collected wood from a local forest that he found on the ground. He cut it up and sold it as firewood in his local community. To the best of my memory he raised nearly €300 which he donated to Jigsaw thanking them for everything they have done for his sister. This to me was a powerful message of the work Jigsaw do.

With my love of Motorcycling and the urge in me to give back this was an obvious choice for me to do something for Jigsaw. If doing this can raise awareness of Jigsaw and some funding along the way, it would be a success in itself. I’d love to see this become an annual event in the future'

'As soon as the Jigsaw Facilities Officer, Damian Sheridan, came up with the idea of travelling to all the Jigsaw hubs by motorcycle as a fundraising campaign I knew this was the event for me! It perfectly combines my love of motorcycle travel with raising funds and awareness for Jigsaw. I believe Jigsaw does fantastic work all over Ireland offering free at the point of use counselling services to young people. Any small contribution we can make to helping Jigsaw provide these services in local communities is a very worthwhile activity I believe.'
