"A man deep in grief walks along the beach in mourning when he meets a magical and enchanting selkie woman that changes his world forever."

A film by Lemurtale Media (Cork), featuring Karolina Winters and Colm Moloney.

Made to support Ireland's forest-making community, the Gaelic Woodland Project.
All donors will receive a link to this visually satisfying Story of a Selkie (7:35min).
We hope to raise €2,000 in donations before organising a screening of this short film.

VERY IMPORTANT: Choose a Receipt with your donation to get a link to the film

The GWP is a skill-sharing charity run by volunteers; last year we raised over €60,000 which was used to purchase 11-acres of land in Mayo for nature. In 2025, we will be planting an Alluvial and Old Oak Woodland there, and blocking drains to regenerate peatland and generate new fen habitat (wetland).

To purchase this land, we received TWO interest-free loans from supporters. Donations for this film will be used to pay back this generosity- anything extra will be used to buy more land! The power of community is great; it has manifested new connections, great acts of service, and continues to inspire us. We are very grateful to Lemurtale Media for this creation and their gift to the cause of restoring Ireland's ecological inheritance.
