Run in the Echo Mini Marathon 2024 and support Breakthrough Cancer Research. 🔬🏃
Take part in this years Echo Mini Marathon and wear your blue for #TeamBreakthrough. Once you set up your fundraiser we will contact you to organise your fundraising pack. This will include our blue Breakthrough t-shirt that you can wear with pride on the day.

Where will the race take place?
The race route is the same as the last with one change, the start line stage will be positioned on Kennedy Quay at the start line. The distance is 5 kilometers and a new start time of 1pm. Once the race starts the route proceeds down Kennedy Quay and onto Victoria Rd, then turns left onto Centre Park Rd, and down the Marina turning right into Páirc Uí Chaoimh and proceeding around the Blackrock end of Páirc Uí Chaoimh, on the outside, up between the all-weather pitches, and then turn right into the gated GAA car park, and left after about 100m, into the new Marina Park and up towards the bandstand, then left and back down again in front of Páirc Uí Chaoimh. After we’ve gone past the all-weather pitches, turn right toward CAB, and then from there continue straight up Monahan Rd and finish in Kennedy Park. (https://www.echolive.ie/minimarathon/)

Breakthrough Cancer Research funds the efficient and effective development of new treatments for cancer. We work to significantly impact the number of people who can survive this disease. Research programmes funded by Breakthrough Cancer Research must focus on translating lab discoveries into new treatment opportunities. To this end we work closely with clinicians in practice all over Ireland so that our research is targeted at finding new options for poor prognosis and incurable cancers.
