SCFS is an international, non-denominational and evangelical Seafarers Mission. Founded in 1846 it exists to help merchant seafarers practically, emotionally and spiritually. 90% of world trade is transported by seafarers. They are on their ships usually for 9 months every year. It's lonely, exhausting and often dangerous work. Forgotten by the world which depends on them, seafarers can often feel alone and isolated. Oil tankers, Container ships, Cruise liners, General Cargo, Bulkers, Research and Offshore, as well as Fishing boats.
