Horses Connect is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise providing a range of equine-assisted activities for children and adults with physical, intellectual, emotional, mental health and other challenges.
We work with individuals and groups of all ages from Galway city and county and the surrounding counties.
We provide a range of equine-assisted activities including
- Therapeutic Horse-riding.
- Equine-assisted Learning.
- Personal Development and Wellbeing through horses workshops, courses and retreats.

Horses Connect is a not-for-profit Social Enterprise based in Galway.
Our mission is to work through our team of horses and ponies to help children and adults who are experiencing a wide range of challenges, to reach their full potential.
where your money goes
All money raised through our cause goes to support the horses and ponies who help us to deliver our services.
We simply cannot take care of our clients without their help.
Most members of our equine team are old, and carrying injuries.
Some are on special diets to meet their individual health needs.
They all receive regular back, feet and teeth care.
Each one is worth their weight in gold many times over, but keeping them healthy and fit is an expensive business.
history
Hores Connect was established in January 2015 by Eileen Bennett and Mary Mitchell.
Eileen and Mary are both experienced horse-people and hold the following qualifiations;
- Therapeutic Horse-riding Coach.
- Equine-assisted Learning Facilitator.
- Advance EAGALA Model Equine Specialist.
- Disability Awareness.
- Leadership Skills.
